Our story

From a kitchen to a House.

Gourmet Gurus began where every good hospitality business begins: in the kitchen. Under the culinary direction of Michelin-starred chef Amal Sasikumar — The Taste Magician — the team built a reputation for bringing restaurant discipline to places that rarely get it: sports clubs, marquees, pavilions and pitch-sides.

That work grew into a family of businesses. Gourmet Events runs weddings, corporate days and match-day hospitality. The Pavilion pours the pints at Raynes Park Sports Club while The Good Karma Kitchen feeds the crowd. Café Liz-Fel serves Goan and Indo-British comfort food, and our street-food stalls take the same standards to markets and festivals.

Today, Gourmet Gurus brings all of that experience together under one roof — The House of Hospitality — and offers it to others through consultancy, partnerships, talent and supply.

Amal Sasikumar, The Taste Magician.

Amal leads the culinary direction across the House. His cooking is shaped by growing up with diverse flavours and by kitchens across the world — journeys that run from Asia and the Mediterranean to South America and Europe.

That range is why our concepts can move from a Goan café to a Mexican street-food stall to a black-tie wedding without losing their standards.

Our home is south-west London, with venues in Wimbledon and Raynes Park. We work on projects across the UK and Europe, and through Ideal Consulting Solutions and Ideal Export & Import we connect UK hospitality with talent and supply from India.
